How to deploy a React app with Netlify and set up continuous deployment via Github So far I have only used Heroku to deploy my web applications. Well, that changed today as I decided to branch out and try a different deployment service. I love Heroku, and it is so easy to use, but I hate how my applications go to sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity unless you pay a monthly fee. The sleeping application then takes 30 seconds to “wake-up” which feels like forever from a client’s perspective. I decided to try Netlify after witnessing many other developers use this service to host their applications. I saw some pretty good reviews about Netlify, and from what I read my applications won’t be going to sleep anymore! 😴 😊 Here is a link to an article I read titled, “13 reasons why you should be using Netlify”. In this article, I’m going to show you how to create a React app, deploy it to Netlify, add the project to Github, and lastly connect the Github repo to the Netlify app. This will

How to learn data mining? what exactly is the definition of data mining? First let’s look at a picture This picture lists the skills you need to become a data analyst. You can’t help but sigh, this is terrible! So let’s start with a simple example. Imagine the vast sea, we want to extract valuable oil from the sea. For the average person, the sea is hard to perceive, let alone find the treasure. But for skilled oil miners, the sea has coordinates. They explore the geology and analyze the geological formations to find out where they are more likely to have oil. Then use the mining tool to carry out deep excavation until the oil is hit. The sea, geological information, and oil are the result of data sources, geographic locations, and analysis for the miners. And the data mining work we have to do is like drilling. By analyzing these data, we find the law from the huge data and find the treasure. Photo by Ian Simmonds on Unsplash The basic process of data mining Before I officially tal

Understanding Web 3.0 in a non-technical way. Here I explain web 3.0 in layman's terms. Of course, we might encounter some technical details in between, but I promise to break it down 😀. I know you must have been seeing a lot of posts in this space about web 3 right? To some extent you are thinking "Am I in the right space"? Don't mind them, you are in the right space just that I need to update you on the latest. The only difference is that some technologies started becoming more popular now with the rise in popularity of cryptocurrency (of course, you know or have heard of the likes of bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. ). This comes with a lot of other technologies that accompanied it, one of which is web 3.0. In this article, I will explain web 3.0 to you as if you are a baby(though you are not a baby) and make sure you understand it. * Let's start I know the problem is not just hearing about web 3.0 but all the crazy words that come with it, like DAO, Smart Contract,
